Football Rules

Despite being a sport with roots reaching out to medieval and even ancient soccer was never really played under a set of strict rules until 1863.

On 26 October 1863 several amateur and semi-professional clubs from England met in London and founded the Football Association and developed a "constitution" for the game, including a number of standards that soccer.Obviously "Laws of Football", as it were reminded when it's just a set of basic rules of football, and they do not cover all aspects of the game.

The main points of the Football Association was on the grounds of violence, as is often matches the tense clashes in no rules lead to bloody battles between the teams. Since then, the rules of football are constantly evolving and increasingly began the principles of the game and also football to suit the age, he played in

A simple example would be the offside rules which was introduced in the game when the game was more tactical later.

Without the offside rule, attackers were often overwinter role in the team, only to stay and wait for the ball when the new rule, they were forced to work. As far as the other players on the field

Take a look at some of the official rules of football today, and they give a little explanation of why they are there and how it relates to the game:

Soccer field dimensions - since you can not share exactly the same size, the whole football FIFA decided a small length and width of the emerging country to be played. Thus, should the minimum length of a football field 100 feet (90 meters), while the maximum length should be 130 feet (120 meters).

A larger difference width as small as 50 feet (45 m) and more than 100 feet (90 m) are allowed. You have probably noticed that the minimum length of the maximum width is right! Strange, soccer could actually be played on a square field, but for the sake of entertainment is not that type of terrain being built (thankfully).

Number of players - the official soccer rules book states that each team of 11 players (including a goalkeeper) on the ground can complete.

The number of substitutes depends on the game, the game is played, but in the official FIFA matches with the number of substitutes can vary from no substitution of 3 to 7 for each of the two teams.

However, in friendly matches, it is often the case that the two teams agree on a set of replacement or just go all out and leave to get any bench player at some point, one of the first members to replace in-game team.

In / out play ball rules of football - the ball is in play when the referee does not intervene whistling a game interruption and while it remains on the playground.

If the ball touches the goal line or touch line by more than half the circumference, then it goes out of play and a goal kick / corner or throw on one of the teams (the opposition given to the team that last touched the ball). If a ball hits the referee, the flag, the goal post or any other object on the ground, the game stays in the game

Injuries - injuries are one of the most problematic rules of football today, because they can be easily confused or arbitrators, which often causes arguments and played off the field. Theoretically, a foul is called and a direct or indirect free kick is given if a player trips, kicking, pushing holds, punches, charges or a leg.

But the fast pace of the game, it is often for the referee to see whether a foul touched the feet of the attacker or the ball difficult. It is considered a crime, even if the defender does not touch the attacker, but he has a dangerous procedure as a high kick.

Goals - Last but not least, the nature of football rules and purpose of the game itself, the goal.

To achieve a goal, the attacking team must pass the other goal line, the ball team. The attacker of the ball, the ball or push it in a different location than the hand (in this case it is considered handball) part.

Not all the pictures that only his goals but if a target can be canceled if it was achieved after his with his hand, the attacker has broken one of the other rules of football, such as pollution of a defender or goalkeeper the ball into the end control, or result offside directly from an indirect free kick.

These are the basic rules of football and although smaller to learn if you can understand phrases, you will be able to observe and understand a football game without problems. Outside the offside rule the other official soccer rules are simple enough to understand.
